I directed a selection from Shakespeare's play The Tempest, performed in the Towson University planetarium. As large kaleidoscopic jellyfish like forms, forming geometric patterns that referenced Islamic dome architecture, pattern, and design, covered the dome through 180 degree projection, a small figure was projected with a pico projector on a tripod, so the figure appeared to be walking dreamily along the horizon. An actor delivered the character's lines live, while Ariel's song played over the speakers, with a chanting, hypnotic tone.
