Lynn Tomlinson is an experienced producer of media arts projects. In addition to her own short films mentioned in her bio, during her career as a professor she has developed, raised funds, and led several large-scale collaborative interdisciplinary initiatives involving other faculty, students, and members of the community. These projects include Aquadome (2018) and Prismatic Voices (2023), fulldome productions for Towson University’s planetarium with live music and student-created animation, and Memory Tricks (2012), a collaboration between students from Maryland Institute College of Art and 5th grade girls from The Jemicy School who animated mnemonic devices. During her career as a public artist, she oversaw the production and construction of four large-scale community-built mosaics in Central Florida, designing the work, engaging with community participants, creating budgets, coordinating schedules, soliciting donations of materials, and planning and directing construction.
